Collaborative Educational Program – CEP is the cooperative program between Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy-Ho Chi Minh City (UMP-HCM) and Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (PNT-UOM). One of the main goals of the CEP is to support for UMP-HCM and PNT-UOM in the development and establishment of self-sustained faculty development programs.

After the success of three previous CEPs, Center for Elaboration Competency and Innovation in Clinical Simulation, under the permission of the Board of Directors of the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, organized the Collaborative Educational Program Fourth Cohort (CEP-4). The CEP-4 is started in February 2020 and expected to end in March 2021.  The program is divided into 4 sessions, corresponding to 4 modules: Teaching Module; Teaching – Assessment Module; Clinical Competency Module and Leadership Module.

In the last month, Session #1 of the CEP-4: “Teaching Module” was done. The session gathered 70 audiences who are lecturers of UMP-HCM and PNT-UOM. After two weeks of learning and working professionally, the audiences were not only shared experiences and knowledge but also enthusiastically discussed how to improve Medical Education at University.

Session #2 of the CEP-4: “Teaching – Assessment Module” is expected to start in June of 2020.
