CECICS SUPPORTED FACULTY DEVELOPMENT UNIT IN ORGANIZING OSCEs FOR CEP4

Collaborative Educational Program 4 (CEP4) is within the framework of cooperation between 03 universities: Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (PNTU), University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP), and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso). CEP4, which consists of 4 sessions in one year, started in 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was impossible to be continued the 2nd session until April 2022.

On May 5th, 2022, CECICS supported the Faculty Development Unit (FDU) in organizing OSCEs for 32 faculties of PNTU and 33 faculties of UMP. The OSCEs took place under the direct supervision of Professor Hoi Ho, MD – Director of the Collaborative Educational Program, Kim Tuyen Ho, Pharm D, BCPS – Co-Director of the Collaborative Educational Program.

The OSCE circuit consisted of 06 OSCE stations, including basic skills that are essential for medical staff. Although the faculties were from many different specialties, they all put much effort into completing their performance.

After the faculties completed all stations, Professor Hoi Ho directly debriefed these OSCE stations and instructed the faculties on how to conduct the Debriefing session.
